Light from the south-west, all day
The space faces south-west and gets natural light from sunrise to sunset. In the morning the light is soft and indirect; from midday on, direct sun comes in - through the golden hour before sunset. You can soften it, or block it out completely.

What's included
The changing room is included- it's part of the studio, at no charge. No paid add-ons, no cleaning fee, and no charge per person. The hourly rate is what you pay.

From the calendar to the door
Four steps. None of them require a phone call.

Pay the deposit
A ₪200 deposit, paid securely. The date is held only after payment, and the balance is paid on the day of the rental.
Get your code
The entry code arrives on WhatsApp 30 minutes before, and expires when your time is up. No key, and no one to wait for.
Shoot
The space is yours until the end of your booked time. The last 5 minutes are for clearing out, and there are 15 minutes between bookings to reset the space.
Short, and worth reading before you come
Most of this is here to make sure whoever comes after you gets the space in the same condition you found it.
Allowed and recommended
- Moving furniture - carefully, and with two people for large items
- Stepping on the backdrop barefoot, or in shoes covered with masking tape
- Bringing your own equipment - setup is included in your booked time, not before it
- Using the changing room, included in the rental
- Changing the backdrop yourself - no need to call staff
- Extending your booking, subject to availability
Not allowed
- Feathers, confetti, sequins, paint, oil and flour
- Smoking in the studio or the stairwell - ₪500 fine
- Leaving the space dirty - ₪300 + VAT fine
- Shooting outside the space you booked
- Animals without prior arrangement
- Relying on equipment not specified in your booking - its availability is not guaranteed
What we get asked most
What happens if I need to cancel?
More than 72 hours before the booking - the deposit is refunded in full. Between 24 and 72 hours before - the deposit is kept. Less than 24 hours before - the booking is charged in full. Changing the time counts as a cancellation and a new booking, subject to availability at that moment.
Can I extend in the middle of the session?
If the hour after you is free - yes, at the same rate. If it is already taken, the rental ends as scheduled. Leaving after your time is charged at the half-hour rate.
What if we finish early?
Payment covers the time you booked, even if the shoot wraps up early. It's better to book what you actually need and extend if possible, rather than book extra time up front.
Is there parking?
The studio is in the Tsarfati Metro complex, Paul Gruninger 4. We recommend arriving 10 minutes early and allowing time to park.
What if the lighting or equipment isn't working?
We check the space between bookings. If something still isn't working, one message on WhatsApp is enough - we'll come by or credit you for the time lost.
Can I come see the space beforehand?
Yes, by arrangement, at a time when nothing else is booked. A short ten-minute visit is free.
Do you provide a photographer?
No. ALTAYKA is a rental space only - you bring your own photographer and crew.
